Council President Birge moved the measure forward and Councilmember Felton made the motion to adopt the resolution, with Councilmember Johnson seconding the motion. Councilmember Serrano asked that the council plan to discuss the 90-day notice window in advance of the date cited in the agreement.
The resolution included one edit noted in red, which council members said did not require a separate motion. During discussion, Councilmember Serrano said she wanted the council to be clear that the January 21, 2026, 90-day notice window should not come as a surprise: "I just wanna make sure that everybody's on the same page... that it wouldn't be a surprise to have a conversation about... before 01/21/2026," Serrano said.
The clerk then called the roll for the vote. Councilmember Anderson and Council President Berge recorded "aye" on the roll call as recorded in the meeting transcript; the council president declared the vote unanimous and the resolution approved. Council President Birge thanked members and said he looked forward to continuing to work with the city manager. The meeting was then adjourned.
