Cooper City special magistrate closes several building cases, continues others to May 7

The Cooper City Special Magistrate hearing on April 2 concluded multiple building-code enforcement cases, with staff reporting compliance in several matters, certification of fines in at least one case and continuances granted for repairs and permit work.
Cases closed as complied included two addresses on Sterling Road (cases EEN204305900 Building LLC and EEN2043069900 Building LLC) and a sign-installation case for Sunny Blue (case EEN25-1). The building department reported that Ace Real Estate Group LLC (10013 SW 50th Court, case EEN25-6) applied for required permits and the case may be closed. Staff also reported that some respondents had applied for permits but corrections remained pending.
Respondents Riddhi Rajon and Rijamal Raju (3245 Dockside Drive, cases EEN245002 and EEN25-003) requested a continuance; the building official approved and both cases were continued to May 7, 2025. The magistrate approved the continuance on the building official’s recommendation.
In one matter (Swang D. Du Pham, 8680 SW 50th Street, case EEN20451), staff said a permit had been applied for but not issued and remained pending corrections; the magistrate certified a previously set $100-per-day fine and an administrative fee of $150. In another closed case (Antonio Acosta, case EEN24-0017), staff noted the administrative fee had been paid and the magistrate certified a fine amount of $2,300 and noted potential recording and release fees to follow.
Magistrate Angel Petty Rosenberg announced the building department portion of the hearing concluded at 10:11 a.m. and directed staff to continue to monitor permit status and provide updated compliance information at the May 7 hearing for continued matters.
