House advances multiple resolutions and reconsiders senate amendments; procedural votes carried by voice vote

On the floor, Representative Todd moved—and Representative Morikawa seconded—several procedural motions to suspend the rules and reconsider prior actions. The House carried the motions by voice vote and proceeded to adopt a set of measures listed on the daily order of the day, including House Resolution 199 and multiple Senate Concurrent Resolutions (SCR numbers 69 SD1 HD1, 70 SD1, 111, 123 SD1 HD1 and 142 SD1 HD1) as listed on pages 1–3 of the House order of the day.

Later in the session, Representative Todd moved to reconsider prior House action disagreeing to certain Senate amendments and to give notice of intent to agree to the Senate amendments for a list of House bills; Representative Morikawa seconded. The list read into the record included House Bill 413 HD1; HB 477 HD1; HB 871 HD1; HB 951 HD2; HB 1002 HD1; HB 1017 HD1; HB 1120 HD2; HB 1065 HD1; HB 1152 HD1; and HB 1379 HD2. A motion to reconsider and give notice was carried by voice vote; the measures were scheduled to appear on Monday’s order of the day for concurrence and final reading.

The record shows multiple standing committee reports (numbers listed on the order of the day) were adopted by voice vote; several members entered “no vote,” “opposition,” or “reservations” on the record before adoption. The House recessed briefly to address technical issues; business resumed and the remaining procedural motions were completed.
