The El Paso County Planning Commission unanimously approved three consent plats and voted to forward each to the Board of County Commissioners for final action.
Consent item 3B (file MS238), Renehan Ranch bridal plat: Commissioner Fuller moved for approval in accordance with the attached resolution (five conditions, five notations, one waiver) and recommended a finding of sufficiency for water quality, quantity and dependability. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Jack. The commission recorded unanimous approval and forwarded the item to the Board of County Commissioners.
Consent item 3C (file MS242), Mary Jane Minor Subdivision final plat: Commissioner Fuller moved for approval in accordance with the attached resolution (six conditions, five notations, one waiver) and recommended a finding of sufficiency for water quality, quantity and dependability. A second was recorded; the commission voted unanimously to forward the item to the Board of County Commissioners.
Consent item 3D (file SF2419), Neck Subdivision final plat: A motion to recommend approval in accordance with the attached resolution (five conditions, four notations, two waivers) and a finding of sufficiency for water quality, quantity and dependability was made and seconded; the commission voted unanimously to forward the final plat to the Board of County Commissioners.
Commissioners did not receive public comment in opposition to these consent items during the hearing. Where commissioners asked clarifying questions — for example, about an existing one‑acre lot on the Neck property and drainage stability along Black Scribe Creek — county staff and the county engineer replied that the one‑acre lot had been legalized by a prior Board of Adjustment hearing and that a consultant’s analysis found the creek stable and did not require additional retention or detention structures for the proposed changes.
All three consent motions were approved without amendment and will proceed to the Board of County Commissioners for final consideration.
