Monroe County Commissioners approved the second-quarter fiscal report for the county Children & Youth Services for fiscal year 2024–25 and ratified two professional‑services contracts.
The commissioners accepted a fiscal report for Children & Youth totaling $8,917,966. During public comment a resident asked how to obtain the fiscal report; county staff said the quarterly report is available and will be provided upon request and that the county is reimbursed for eligible expenditures listed by department code.
The board also approved and ratified professional services contracts for the period July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, with Taylor Group Homes LLC (contract limit $150,000) and Compassion Living (contract limit $250,000). A speaker on the dais noted a typographical question about the contract dates; the record shows the contracts’ performance period was clarified to read from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, before the commissioners voted.
The commissioners approved the motions by voice vote; the transcript records no roll-call tallies. The county clerk will file the fiscal report and the contracts with the appropriate offices for execution and reimbursement processes.
