Midway planning staff reported to the council that the Burke Lane Church subdivision received final approval under the city's updated land-use processes.
Staff said the property is just under 4.5 acres in a one-acre zone and will contain a single lot for a future LDS church, a permitted use in the zone. The site has frontage on Bergey Lane and Canyon View Road and will connect to Midway's culinary water, the municipal sewer system and Midway Irrigation Company's secondary water line. As part of the approval, the developer will extend the secondary water line along Bergey Lane, staff said, which staff described as a neighborhood benefit.
Staff said the plat is at the city and signatures are being collected; once the plat is recorded, the developer will be able to process a building permit. Staff noted several remaining items before recording: signatures, the bond for infrastructure where required, and dedication of water facilities to the city.
The report was informational and part of the department reports required under the city's implementation of SB174-related process changes; no additional council action was required at the meeting beyond the informational update.
