Mayor’s Teen Advisory Committee plans drive‑in movie, weighs cell‑phone policies

The committee reviewed logo and branding concepts for an "Emtek" teen brand and will provide design feedback to staff and a graphic designer, Gonzalez said. Members also reviewed current rules and policies for the teen room at the new recreation and aquatic center and discussed cell‑phone usage; the discussion was described as an early step toward advising staff on teen-related policies.
Council members praised the students' engagement and encouraged the committee to continue with planning and mentorship as members graduate.
The council did not take formal action on the committee's recommendations during the meeting; the report was provided as an information update.
