Board approves routine COAs for multiple properties; voice votes recorded

The Lexington Board of Architecture Review approved several Certificate of Appropriateness items on unanimous or voice votes for routine exterior work at multiple historic‑district addresses.
At the April 16 meeting the Board of Architecture Review approved a number of staff‑recommended certificates of appropriateness (COAs) and staff approvals for minor exterior work across multiple historic districts.
Approvals recorded during the meeting included a COA for 605 Boonesborough Road in the Bell Court Historic District for door replacement and driveway paving; a COA for 436 West Second Street in the Northside Historic District to construct a solar rack; and a COA for 210–214 North Broadway in the Northside Historic District with the board applying standard staff conditions.
Staff explained these items met the criteria for routine staff approval or compliance with design guidelines and each motion was carried by voice vote. Where standard conditions apply, the board recorded the requirement that applicants resubmit changes to staff prior to start of work and obtain any additional division approvals.
These approvals are administrative in nature; applicants remain responsible for securing building permits and for meeting the staff conditions recorded with each COA.
