Finance staff files annual assessment roll for Tulsa Stadium Improvement District; public hearing set for June 4

Bindu Abraham of the Finance Department presented a resolution directing the city to file the annual assessment roll for the Tulsa Stadium Improvement District No. 1 and set a public hearing for June 4 at 5 p.m. to consider proposed assessment increases on parcels within the district. Abraham said assessments for the district began in 2009 as a 30-year district and that, if the resolution passes, the city will mail property owners a copy of the resolution and their proposed assessment for the coming year.
Abraham outlined the process and deadlines for objections: property owners may submit written objections to the city clerk’s office by the stated deadline in order to appear at the public hearing. The resolution includes an emergency clause and directs publication of notice twice as required for the hearing. Councilors asked for clarification on objection deadlines and staff restated the process and dates for submission and hearing attendance.
