Senate Bill 197, introduced to the Legislative Administration Committee on behalf of Senator Pearl, would remove language assigning medical supervisory oversight of the nurse employed at legislative facilities to the commissioner of the Department of Health and Human Services and instead place the nurse under the Board of Nursing and RSA 326-B, the Nurse Practice Act.
Ryan Malidi, assistant to Senator Pearl, told the committee that SB 197 “removes supervision of [the] nurse employed by the legislative facilities committee from the Department of Health and Human Services and provides that the nurse shall act within the scope of practice provided by the Board of Nursing and RSA 326-B, the Nurse Practice Act.”
