"The intent is to rezone the parcels for future light industrial use by the town," said Tyler Hayoski, senior planner for the Town of Indian Trail, during the board presentation. Town staff said the parcels, roughly 11.3 acres in total across three subject parcels (part of a five-property assemblage), were acquired from NCDOT after construction of the expressway and the rezoning would align them with adjacent light-industrial parcels.
