Davis County Commission approves sponsorships, software purchases, health and tax adjustments in April 15 meeting

The Davis County Commission on April 15 approved a package of sponsorships, software contracts, a Medicaid aging-waiver amendment, small tax adjustments and consent items during a regularly scheduled meeting at the County Administration Building.

The measures passed included sponsorship agreements for performing-arts organizations, purchase and implementation contracts for Salesforce customer-relationship management, a social service block grant for the Davis Links program, a contract amendment to a Medicaid aging-waiver, an advertising contract for a county resource locator effort, and corrections to the property tax register. County staff presented each item and commissioners moved and approved them by voice vote.

Key approved items and amounts (motions recorded on the meeting agenda): - Approval of a summary list of intern waivers for spring 2025 for the Davis County Sheriff's Office (agenda item 11). Consent and Board of Equalization actions: - The commission approved consent items and minutes, and recessed to the Board of Equalization. Sulika La'ulu presented property tax register corrections totaling 11 corrections and $16,179.67, and 501(c)(3) renewals; the Board approved the register corrections. The commission then returned to regular session and closed the meeting.

Other notes from the meeting: Rebecca Abbott of the clerk's office clarified that the informational item about a change to an intergovernmental agreement with the U.S. Marshals Service references both Executive Order 14168 and Executive Order 14019. Commissioner Bob Stevenson reported that members of the county's Board of Health, including Health Department Director Brian Hatch, attended the Utah annual Board of Health symposium and praised the county's representation; he noted Mayor Joy Petro of Leighton served as chair of the symposium.
