Board approves bonds, contracts and a string of resolutions on consent calendar

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors approved a broad set of ordinances and resolutions on Jan. 28 as part of its consent agenda and unfinished business. The measures ranged from bond authorizations to contract amendments, grant acceptances and program funding applications. Most items were approved by unanimous roll call votes during the session.

Key actions approved on consent or on first reading:

- General obligation bonds for affordable housing: Supervisors approved a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of up to $40,000,000 in taxable general obligation bonds to support affordable housing preservation and seismic safety (items 6 and 7). The accompanying ordinance appropriates the $40 million in bond proceeds to the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) for acquisition, rehabilitation and conversion of at‑risk multi‑unit residential buildings.

- Mountain Tunnel construction management contract amendment: The board adopted a resolution authorizing the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission general manager to execute a third amendment with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. for mountain tunnel construction management services, increasing the contract by $9,500,000 to a total of $34,000,000 and extending the term to Dec. 30, 2027 (item 8).
