Board approves multiple ordinances, appointments and resolutions; roll calls recorded

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a range of consent and non-controversial items, including budget and planning ordinances, multiple appointments, and resolutions.
Items 1 through 7 were taken on the consent calendar and passed unanimously. The board gave final passage to the proposed interim budget and appropriation ordinance and the annual salary ordinance for fiscal years ending June 30, 2018 through June 30, 2019 (items 8 and 9), and it approved planning-code amendments and related planning ordinances (items 10 and 11). The board also approved an amendment to the administrative code expanding fire victims assistance fund payments from two to four years for qualifying tenants (item 12) and an ordinance to adjust sidewalk widths and create a new sidewalk bulb-out (item 13, passed on first reading). A conveyance of a parcel at 2070 Bryant Street to the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development was authorized by resolution (item 14).
Several appointments and reappointments were confirmed by motion and roll call, including reappointment and appointments to the SweatFree Procurement Advisory Group (item 17), the Sunshine Ordinance Task Force (item 18), the Food Security Task Force (item 19), the Childcare Planning and Advisory Council (item 20), the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority (item 21), and the Graffiti Advisory Board (item 22). Most of these motions were taken "without objection" and recorded as unanimous votes on the public roll calls.
Other adoption items later in the meeting included items 25 through 27; the board voted to adopt these items, and separately adopted item 26, a resolution declaring June 20, 2017 as "Alita Van Runkle Day" in recognition of her 31 years in the City Attorney's Office. The board adjourned the meeting in memoriam for several individuals including victims of the June 14 UPS shooting, as recorded in the minutes.
