WORCESTER, Sept. 8, 2025 — The Civil Service Commission of the City of Worcester voted Tuesday to abolish the eligible list for entry police officer and to certify or recertify several other eligibility lists for city positions.
The commission approved the minutes of its June 9 meeting, then voted to abolish the entry police officer eligible list. Commissioners later certified or recertified eligibility lists for firefighter/EMT‑paramedic, police captain and recreation coordinator. Each motion was seconded and carried with all members present voting “aye.”
