Board members said the district has already taken cost-saving steps, including a teacher buyout program, choosing not to rehire five positions and eliminating the printed district calendar to save $25,000. The board also said it has received community applications to serve on finance and building-and-grounds committees; those applications will be reviewed by the board with the treasurer, business manager and superintendent.
On formal business the board approved a contract with London and Company of Medina to complete the annual comprehensive financial report for fiscal year 2025 at a cost not to exceed $12,009.50 (general fund). The motion was moved by Mrs. Hamilton and seconded by Mrs. Egan and passed 4–0 (Mrs. Davis absent).
