Committee members said the audit is proactive: the IU's review is intended to assess organizational structure, professional-development processes and technical infrastructure following staff turnover and recent additions such as a 1:1 device program. The committee described the IU team as experienced in district technology operations and noted that Scott Nader, identified in committee remarks as the IU contact, brings prior experience as a district technology director.
On the intercom system, committee members were told the existing system is currently operating but has required repeated maintenance and is due for replacement. The technology committee requested that administration gather additional information and options before the board considers a replacement contract as part of the capital plan.
