Two ordinances amending the legislative code were presented and set for second reading and public hearing on April 9: Ordinance 25-29 (amending chapter 193A.0.08 pertaining to rent stabilization) and Ordinance 25-31 (tenant protections).
Council President Naker thanked Councilmembers Jost and Bowie for leadership on the package and said staff would present a report next week. Councilmember Johnson encouraged residents to participate at the April 9 hearings and emphasized the council would welcome public input.
Both items were laid over for second reading and public hearing; no final votes were taken at this meeting. Councilmembers signaled these will be considered together as a package at next week’s hearing.
