Planning board accepts site-inventory analysis for Orchard Street subdivision; schedules on-site neighborhood meeting

Developer Belle Boldick presented a preliminary plan for an eight-lot subdivision extending Orchard Street. The board treated the submission as site inventory and preliminary review, identified missing items, and voted unanimously to accept the site-inventory analysis with conditions. The board and staff set an on-site neighborhood meeting for May 6 at 5:00 p.m. and scheduled a final/planning-board review for May 13.

Boldick described the proposal as “a simple 8 house housing development, mostly 2 and 3 bedroom housing,” intended to be built over several years. Board members and staff discussed whether the proposal should proceed through the three-step subdivision process (site inventory/analysis, preliminary, final) or could be consolidated; they agreed to treat this application as combined site-inventory and preliminary and to return for final review after the neighborhood meeting and site visit.
