PSC accepts Delmarva Power tariff revision to extend rate year 3 to June 30, 2026

The Maryland Public Service Commission on Wednesday accepted proposed tariff revisions from Delmarva Power and Light Company to extend its multiyear rate plan’s year-3 rates through June 30, 2026.
Eric Delgado, representing commission staff, told commissioners that on March 5 Delmarva filed proposed tariff sheets updating the rate-year end date from Dec. 31, 2025, to June 30, 2026, to comply with the commission’s prior order. Staff reviewed the filing and recommended acceptance for filing with an effective date of April 9, 2025.
Delmarva representative Kim Curry clarified that the tariff sheets in the company’s filing carried a Feb. 3 effective date, reflecting the date the underlying order approving the extension was issued. Commissioners accepted that clarification and directed acceptance of the tariff provisions with an effective date of Feb. 3, 2025.
“I move we accept the general provisions for filing with an effective date of 02/03/2025,” Chief Judge McClain said. Chief Judge McClain and Commissioner Richard recorded aye votes.
The commission’s acceptance implements the previously directed six-month extension to rate-year 3 for Delmarva’s multiyear rate plan. No change to rates beyond the revised effective period was recorded in the administrative discussion.
