The Beaver County solicitor's office told commissioners that Bridal Township has approved a conditional‑use application allowing Saint Barnabas to use the former Michael Baker building for storage, and that the county will present a lease on next week's agenda.
A solicitor's office representative said the building under consideration is “approximately 19,000 square feet” and that the county has completed the township zoning steps needed to proceed toward a lease with Saint Barnabas to move county storage into the Michael Baker building. The representative said additional loading machines and storage activity would follow after the election.
The solicitor's update also noted that mail ballots for an upcoming election were likely to be placed in the mail at the end of the week and that voters should expect packets next week.
No formal lease vote occurred at the meeting; the lease was described as an agenda item to be considered by the board at a future public meeting.
