Committee members voted to recommend approval of engineering plans for Gulf View Estates during the April 14 Public Works and Safety Committee meeting. The motion passed by voice vote; no roll-call tally or motion maker was recorded in the transcript.
Scott (staff member) described the project site off Ryan Drive, across from St. Andrews Condominiums. He said Gulf View Estates is designed as a conservation subdivision with about 19 lots, public roads, public water and sanitary service, storm sewer and three stormwater ponds. The plan includes a trail that will run under ATC transmission lines and connect to the north; staff said the trail will be dedicated to the city and maintained, including winter plowing.
Scott said a developers agreement is being prepared; if the timing follows current estimates, construction could start in the fall after DA and permitting are complete. The committee approved the recommendation by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
