At its April 15, 2025 meeting the Sarpy County Planning Commission approved the minutes from the March 18, 2025 meeting, elected a chair and vice chair for the coming year, and recorded several recommendations to the county board, including the rezoning and plats for Lot 1 and Outlot A, Milks Place.
The commission voted to approve the March 18 minutes with six yeas, one abstention (Whitfield) and three commissioners absent; the meeting record states "6 yays, 1 abstained Whitfield, 3 absent" and records the motion as carried. Nomination and election of the chair and vice chair followed: Mr. Brethnach was nominated for chair and elected (vote recorded as seven yeas, three absent), and Heather Dembinski was nominated and elected vice chair by the same tally.
Other agenda business included the public hearing and recommendation for the Milks Place rezoning and plats (see separate item). The meeting closed after brief department reports and a note that there were no applications for the next month’s agenda.
The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance and a statement that the meeting is subject to the Nebraska Open Meetings Act; planning staff and legal counsel were introduced at the start of the session.
