Matt Olbeck, director of the North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District, told the committee that the appointment fills the position vacated by Chris Ames, who moved away. Olbeck said Roche serves as deputy mayor of the village of Mayville and noted that the village board historically has held a seat on the sewer district board.
The committee put the resolution to a voice vote and the motion carried.
