Council members suggested starting with kindergarten and first grade before expanding and said certificates could use the current logo until a new logo is selected.
For July Fourth dignitaries, council agreed to solicit nominations via email rather than public Facebook comments, gather nominations for "Citizen of the Year" and "Business of the Year," and vote internally as in prior years. Staff were asked to collect nominations and forward them for anonymous council selection.
