County prepares to begin Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox suicide‑prevention grant services in June; requests monthly implementation updates

Steven Fisher of the Veterans Service Office joined the presentation.
Officials said the county currently uses an established mental health pathway funded through the Mental Health Services Act to screen veterans and connect eligible veterans to VA care or, when ineligible, to behavioral health services. The committee requested monthly implementation reports during the early phase of the grant and asked for a chart showing deliverables, anticipated completion dates and progress. County staff said they would do their best to meet next month's report timeline but asked for a two‑week grace period to provide quality materials.
The committee voted to receive the report and directed the Veterans Service Office and Behavioral Health Services to coordinate on screening and bridging care to VA services.
