The update includes a new allowance of certain limited retail, light manufacturing and storage uses in agricultural zones capped at 15% of the parcel, the council said. Council members said the planning commission will conduct public hearings and review conditional-use items as required by city code.
Motion to approve was made by Mike and seconded by Rex. Roll-call votes recorded Jake, Mike, Rex and Jordan as voting yes and the ordinance was adopted.
Council members noted staff and the planning commission worked extensively on the revisions and that future changes remain possible if issues arise during implementation or application reviews.
