Warden’s report: The warden reported March admissions of 67 males and 14 females (81 total), releases of 63 males and 15 females (78 total), and an average daily population of 47 for March. The warden reported the facility’s current population was 49 inmates (25 males, 24 females) and that the jail had recorded 243 total admissions year to date. The transport report listed 15 transports in the period (five hospital runs, two specialist visits and eight cardiology transports).
Meal contract and walk-through: Board members reported a scheduled walk-through next Tuesday for companies interested in the facility meal contract; four prospective bidders had inquired. Inspectors said the current contract was being adjusted to avoid paying for unused meals and that the board planned to evaluate proposals and hold a walk-through for bidders.
Executive session and adjournment: The inspectors recessed to an executive session to discuss one personnel matter and security issues exempt from the Sunshine Law; after returning to the public record the board stated no action was required from the executive session and adjourned the meeting.
