Payson Aero Club seeks opportunity to present case for managing Hangar 1 after work-study raised concerns

Thompson said he attended a recent work-study where experts were presented and that, in the Aero Club's review, the hangar doors showed only fascia cracks and no structural issues. "We went and inspected the hangar doors again and looked at them. And the only cracks in the bridal that we've seen were for fascia. Nothing structural," Thompson said. He asked that the club be permitted to offer its own plan to manage the hangars and to present that case to the council and staff.
Thompson said the club has managed hangars for 34 years and would like the opportunity to show how it could operate the facilities safely and efficiently. The council did not take action on the request during the meeting; Thompson asked staff to place time on a future agenda to receive the club's presentation.
