During the April 8 meeting the Eau Claire City Council read into the record four ordinances to annex parcels in the town of Washington (planning drawing numbers 25-2a, 25-3a, 25-4a and 25-5a) and introduced an ordinance to rezone property from TR-1A to C3 for an office and warehouse east of Fleet Farm on Old Town Hall Road.
The council president asked whether any member wished to suspend the rules and take up the items for final action; no member asked to do so, so the items were only introduced. Each annexation ordinance will require eight affirmative votes for final approval at a subsequent meeting. The rezoning ordinance was presented for introduction only and will proceed through the normal public notice and hearing steps before any final vote.
No additional details or votes were recorded on these ordinances at the April 8 meeting.
