At the start of the meeting the Utility Finance Oversight Committee confirmed a leadership slate for the coming year. Chair Johnston said he is termed out but agreed to serve “one more year as chair” when members discussed rotating chairmanships. Cynthia Cherchek was nominated and seconded for vice chair; the committee approved her nomination by voice vote.
Deputy District Attorney Adam Tully advised that nominating members who were not present is permissible but not binding. The committee recorded the appointment by voice vote; individual roll-call votes were not recorded in the minutes.
The committee proceeded with the meeting after establishing that a quorum was present and the leadership appointments were set.
