Board approves addition of Carolines Way to state-maintained secondary road system

The Wilson County Board of Commissioners approved a North Carolina Department of Transportation request to add Carolines Way to the state-maintained secondary road system during its April meeting.
County Manager Ron Hunt explained that Carolines Way, off 795 and Blalock, met the state-maintained requirements and that the developer's bond had been returned. Hunt told the board the street serves about 22 homes and that NCDOT requested the addition.
A motion to approve the addition was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. The meeting record does not show additional public comment or objections to the transfer.
