Dane County executive committee approves county executive appointments; schedules May presentation on winter gardening project

The Dane County Executive Committee approved County Executive appointments under Resolution 383 and approved the minutes from its March 20 executive committee meeting, members said during a brief meeting. The committee also heard introductions of two new county board staff and set a May meeting for a University Alliance intern to present phase 2 of a winter gardening and community-building project.

The committee confirmed a quorum and moved first to approve the March 20, 2025, executive committee meeting minutes; the minutes were approved by voice vote. Committee members then considered Resolution 383, listed in the agenda as “County executive appointments.” The motion to recommend approval of Resolution 383 was moved by Kemp and carried on a voice vote; no recorded roll-call tally was stated in the transcript and no public registrants spoke on the item.

During introductions, staff identified two new county board office employees: Kaitlyn Mayo, legislative management systems specialist/policy analyst, and Sarai Garcia, policy and communications intern. Committee members said both staffers will also appear at the full county board meeting later the same evening.

Committee members noted the next executive committee meeting will be in May. Patrick (committee member) and others discussed that the May meeting will include a presentation by a University Alliance intern on phase 2 of the winter gardening and community-building project, and committee members were encouraged to review materials and prepare questions in advance.

With no further business, the committee moved to adjourn. Kemp moved to adjourn; there was no objection and the meeting ended.
