Carbondale Arts Commission recommends Michelle Cook as alternate member

Commissioners explained that the alternate fills in when a regular commissioner is absent and otherwise is expected to attend meetings and participate in discussion. “I think it would be great if you came to all the meetings so that you're kept up to date with the information,” one commission member said, describing the role as participatory but with voting limited to occasions when the commission lacks a full roster.
Commissioners said the commission currently has seven seats and that the alternate could be appointed to a full voting seat should a vacancy occur. The recommendation will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees for final appointment.
No formal roll-call tally was recorded in the meeting transcript; the motion was approved by voice vote.
The commission moved on to agenda items including planning for the Art Walk and marketing tasks.
