Council appoints Riley to Diversity, Inclusivity and Social Equity board

Council unanimously appointed Riley (Ward 3) to the Diversity, Inclusivity and Social Equity (DICE) Board; new member said they hope to represent non-binary and transgender perspectives.
The Northglenn City Council on April 14 unanimously approved a resolution appointing Riley to the Diversity, Inclusivity and Social Equity (DICE) Board to serve as the Ward 3 member.
Riley introduced themself to council and said they have been a Northglenn resident about two and a half years and purchased their first home in the city. “I am excited to be a part of the board. I've attended the Northglenn bridal the two years that I've been here. I am hoping to be a representation for non binary trans people,” Riley said.
Councilmembers welcomed Riley and praised the board’s work. The appointment passed by unanimous vote (CR 35). Councilmember Goff and others encouraged Riley’s participation in upcoming DICE activities and noted the board's role in events and outreach.
The DICE board is expected to bring a 2026 work plan forward to staff for budget consideration; staff said the board is developing a 2025 work plan now and will return with an annual report in November as required.
