Under the agreement the city will maintain the building and its structural systems; the museum, a 501(c)(3), will remain responsible for exhibits and contents and will maintain liability insurance for its operations. The council also approved an accompanying MOU describing operational coordination, programming expectations and periodic reviews of the partnership.
