The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Southlake approved a preliminary plat for Lynn Mar Estates, a proposed 10-lot residential subdivision on approximately 10.85 acres at 2665 and 2735 North Whitechapel Boulevard, by a 6-0 vote Wednesday evening.
Commission Chairman Dan Kubiak opened the item and staff described the project as a preliminary plat consistent with an approved development plan. The staff presentation said the future land use is low-density residential and that the preliminary plat conforms to the prior development plan and accompanying tree and street analyses.
Staff noted the plat includes tree conservation analysis and street views. The staff presenter reported that no responses had been received from the public in advance and the applicant had no additional comments at the hearing.
A commissioner moved to approve ZA25-0019 subject to the staff report dated April 11, 2025, and the development plan review summary no. 1, dated April 11, 2025; another commissioner seconded. The motion carried on a 6-0 roll call.
The approval forwards the item to City Council; commissioners noted the successful vote and wished the applicant luck at the council hearing, which staff said will be on May 6 for first reading.
No members of the public spoke on the item during the public hearing.
