On licensing: the committee recommended a letter of no objection for one applicant seeking a full on‑premises liquor license, directing staff to forward the recommendation to leadership for consideration by the full board. The board also moved to table at least one liquor-license item until applicants produced requested documentation, including a certificate of occupancy and a response to a deficiency letter.
On outdoor dining and renewals: the committee recommended no objection for Patricia’s outdoor-dining submission and approved the submission as consistent with the committee’s standards. RedBear Lounge’s outdoor-dining application was tabled because the committee said its diagrams and measurements did not match observable site conditions and the applicant should be asked to appear at a leadership meeting to clarify. Jay’s Tavern’s renewal was discussed; the committee noted past noise complaints but treated the renewal as a renewal item and recorded no additional objection at the committee level.

Details and next steps: Board staff said one applicant had been given a 10-business-day deadline in early April to respond to a deficiency letter and that the board does not meet again before the deadline; staff will ask the SLA for a brief extension and, if needed, present the matter to the leadership committee so the board can provide a recommendation in time. Applicants were instructed to provide a certificate of occupancy, hood‑service documentation and required safety documentation where applicable.
Applicant comments: An applicant representative, Rhonda Ope, identified herself as representing Busuri Grill/New York and said she had not yet filed to the SLA and had not posted the SLA notice on the storefront; she told the committee she would attempt to obtain a certificate of occupancy and submit missing paperwork.
The committee asked staff to contact applicants with incomplete submissions and to invite representatives for RedBear Lounge to the leadership meeting to walk through the drawings and measurements.
