The City Council introduced an ordinance to add a municipal code section regulating the use of the city logo and wordmark.
City Manager Justin Tucker said the ordinance is a “simple addition” to codify intellectual‑property protection for the city’s logo and wordmark to prevent unauthorized uses. The council conducted the first reading by title; a formal motion to introduce and read the ordinance passed 5‑0. Staff will return as required for the second reading and adoption if the council chooses to finalize the measure.
No members of the public spoke on the item and council discussion was brief. The measure was introduced and advanced on a unanimous first reading.
