Salisbury awards EMS medical-supplies contract to Boundtree, Henry Schein

The Salisbury City Council voted to award bid ITBA-25-111 to two vendors for EMS medical supplies for the Salisbury Fire Department.
The department of procurement presented the recommendation at the council’s April 14 meeting. “The contractors that were awarded contracts were Boundtree Medical and Henry Schein,” procurement staff said during the presentation, noting the award relies on a cooperative piggyback contract (Charles County contract RFP22-42). The procurement presentation described the contract as a cooperative procurement that allows the city to accept prices negotiated by another governmental entity.
The contract effective dates were described as beginning in July and continuing through June 30, 2029, including renewals. Procurement staff told council the city’s estimated annual expenditure for EMS medical supplies is approximately $52,000 and that the city had posted the solicitation on the city procurement portal and state procurement sites as required.
Council offered no substantive questions on the award. The chair called for the vote and the motion passed with the chair voting aye.
The award covers medical, health and safety, surgical and first-aid related equipment, accessories and related services to be provided on an as-needed basis under the cooperative contract terms.
