The U.N. briefing said Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed traveled to Hanoi to participate in the Partnership for Growth summit and to chair the annual retreat of U.N. resident coordinators from Asia and the Pacific.
According to the spokesperson, Mohammed underscored the need to strengthen partnerships and scale up investment in climate solutions as key enablers for advancing countries' transitions toward the Sustainable Development Goals. Mohammed also met with Vietnam's minister of agriculture and environment, Do Duc Duy, to discuss Vietnam's transition to a low-carbon energy system and progress on food system pathways. On the margins of the summit, she met UN staff at the U.N. House in Hanoi to discuss strengthening U.N. impact on the Sustainable Development Goals in Vietnam.
