Dorsey also noted concerns about past city art awards going to nonlocal artists and advocated prioritizing local artists for future public art funding and programs. Supervisor Peskin recorded the dissenting vote; the roll call showed 10 ayes and 1 no (Supervisor Peskin). The ordinance passed on first reading and will return for a second reading.
