Board adopts wide-ranging consent calendar including homelessness grant increases, PUC bond authorizations and surveillance policy

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors on June 4 adopted a large consent calendar that included grant increases for homelessness services, authorization for utility revenue bonds, multiple lease amendments, and approval of a surveillance-technology policy for the municipal transportation agency.

The board took the items "same house, same call" where recorded and adopted the resolutions and ordinances listed on the printed agenda without separate debate. Several items were described on the record by the clerk or staff before the roll calls were taken.

Key items adopted or moved forward on first reading included:

- Four homelessness-related grant amendments (items 13–16): extensions and increases to contracts managed by the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing. The board approved a 12‑month extension and a $3,500,000 increase to Urban Alchemy's agreement for operations at 711 Post Street (new total $22,200,000); a nine‑month extension and an approximately $2,100,000 increase to Urban Alchemy for operations at 33 Gough (new total ~ $11,600,000); and two amendments with Episcopal Community Services to extend and expand funding for a flexible housing subsidy pool and housing navigation programs (increases of approximately $19,600,000 and $6,700,000, with new totals of roughly $29,500,000…
