Supervisors introduce ceasefire resolution; hundreds of residents press board for immediate vote

Supervisor Dean Preston introduced a resolution on Dec. 5 urging a sustained ceasefire in Gaza, expanded humanitarian aid and the release of hostages while also condemning antisemitism, Islamophobia and anti‑Palestinian hate. The measure was introduced at the full Board of Supervisors meeting with Supervisor Hillary Ronan named as a co‑sponsor. The board did not take a final vote on the resolution at Tuesday’s meeting.
