Board adopts package of grants, contracts and policy resolutions; key votes at a glance

- Items 12 and 13 (airport leases): Item 12 (amendment to a newsstand lease) passed unanimously. Item 13 (extension of airline lease terms) was continued for two weeks to May 18 after a motion by Supervisor Mandelmann; the motion to continue passed 10–1 with Supervisor Melgar dissenting.

- Item 14: Approved an amended grant agreement with the Institute on Aging to extend the community living fund term and increase the grant amount by approximately $10,700,000 to a revised total not to exceed $22,400,000. (11 ayes, adopted unanimously.)

- Item 15: Adopted a resolution authorizing the Department of Public Health to accept and expend approximately $113,000 in federal grant funding (participation in a research program). (11 ayes, adopted unanimously.)

- Item 16: Approved the sixth amendment to the paratransit broker contract with Transdev Services Inc., exercising a five‑year extension through June 30, 2026, and increasing the contract by $165,300,000 for a total not to exceed $308,200,000. (11 ayes, adopted unanimously.)

- Items 17 and 18 (4840 Mission Apartments): Approved acquisition, loan and note authorizations for a 137‑unit, 100 percent affordable housing project. (11 ayes; separately covered in a feature article.)

- Item 19: Approved designation of the Lyon Martin House as a landmark and made required findings. (Passage on first reading, unanimous.)

- Item 20: Adopted a resolution supporting California SB 110 (Recovery Incentive Act) to expand contingency‑management treatment coverage. (11 ayes, unanimous.)

- Items 21 and 22: Determined transfers/issuance of specific liquor license types would serve public convenience and necessity and requested ABC impose conditions; both adopted unanimously. (11 ayes.)

- Item 23: Adopted a resolution supporting California SB 299 to remove barriers for victims and families of peace officer violence seeking compensation. (11 ayes, unanimous.)

- Item 24: Motion to appoint Dr. Susan Philip as San Francisco Health Officer (appointment approved by roll call). (11 ayes, unanimous.)

- Item 25: Appointed 15 members to the African American Reparations Advisory Committee (11 ayes, unanimous). The board noted the appointment as a historic step.
