The motion to amend was seconded by Supervisor Melgar, the amendment passed unanimously on the roll call, and the resolution was adopted as amended.
Supervisor Chan said the amendment mirrors reporting language the board had previously approved to improve transparency about the distribution of federal rental assistance and to ensure accountability. The clerk recorded the board vote on the motion to amend and on the amended resolution as unanimous.
What happens next: MOHCD will be required to provide regular monthly reporting to the Clerk of the Board on distributions of federal emergency rental assistance to landlords, and the Mayor's office will accept the grant funds consistent with the resolution as amended.
