Board delays all‑electric new construction mandate after Local 38 requests more talks

Mandelmann moved to continue the item one week to Nov. 10; Supervisor Stephanie seconded. The roll call on the motion to continue was 11‑0.
At the start of the Land Use‑origin item, Mandelmann thanked his colleagues and the Land Use Committee for work on the legislation and said Local 38 had asked for a continuance to discuss potential amendments addressing worker transition concerns.
With the continuance, the board postponed final action and directed that the item return on Nov. 10 for further committee consideration.
