The San Francisco Board of Supervisors on April 24 adopted a large set of routine and finance items on the consent and regular calendars. Highlights:
- Items 1–18: Adopted by unanimous consent (routine consent calendar items).
- Item 19: An ordinance to amend the Administrative Code (details on agenda) passed on roll call; the board recorded 10 ayes and 1 no (Supervisor Ronan opposed). The ordinance as introduced passed final action at this meeting.
- Item 20: A resolution retroactively authorizing the Department of Public Health to accept and expend a $30,000 grant from the State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Water Quality Beach Safety Program for July 1, 2017–June 30, 2018; adopted unanimously on roll call.
- Items 21–23: The board approved three resolutions authorizing issuance and sale of general obligation bonds: earthquake safety and emergency response tax‑exempt GO bonds (up to $190,000,000); affordable housing taxable GO bonds (up to $146,000,000); and public health and safety tax‑exempt GO bonds (up to $52,500,000). - Item 29: Resolution adopting a list of projects to be funded with FY 2018–19 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account funds under the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 — adopted unanimously.
- Item 39: An amended ordinance concerning deadlines and extensions for accessibility improvements for places of public accommodation passed first reading on unanimous voice vote.
These and other noncontroversial items were handled efficiently so the board could move to extended hearings on land‑use and policy matters.
