The board also approved routine interim budgets, an increased federal-education grant for the Children and Families Commission, and contracting authority for paratransit services.
Why it matters: The bond and appropriation items authorize financing and reappropriation of hundreds of millions of dollars for water, wastewater and power enterprise projects and for transportation equipment in fiscal years 20162017 and 20172018.
