On Dec. 8 the Board of Supervisors adopted an ordinance to require prevailing wages, adherence to state apprenticeship standards, and application of local-hire rules for the sale or lease of city-owned property when the property is developed for housing or when the city acts as landlord or tenant. The ordinance was presented by Supervisor Malia Cohen and passed on its first reading unanimously.
